A Sparkling Business

What began as a simple hobby and love for jewelry making 10 years ago has grown into a successful business called The Beaded Wire. Owner and creator Jessica Gomes started her Yarmouth-based company by bringing a few pieces to a local mothers’ group. From there, Gomes and her mother hosted home jewelry parties, and later, eventually entered the retail market. From referrals to jewelry parties, the brand continued to grow over time and is now sold at retailers all over the country, reaching as far as Alaska. Celebrating its 10th anniversary in October, The Beaded Wire features several different collections of necklaces, bracelets and rings, including a bridal and prom line with Swarovski crystals and ornate precious metals. Her latest, Denim+Pearl, an eclectic collection of matte metal earrings and necklaces, is perfect for everyday wear. These sparkling pieces can be found at Chatham Bars Inn Spa, Yankee Ingenuity in Chatham, Twiggs of Falmouth and The Potted Geranium in Harwich.
