Truro Center for the Arts at Castle Hill will host a “Full Moon Gala” on Aug. 29, which will help the organization purchase the historic, 11-acre Edgewood Farm in Truro. The property would allow Castle Hill to include an artist-in-residency program, drawing established artists to collaborate, teach, and learn from one another. For more than 40 years, Castle Hill has been offering lectures and exhibitions in the arts, as well as courses in sculpture, painting and pottery. Classes are available not only to the immediate community, but also for summer visitors and even an international audience. The gala will be sponsored by various organizations, including Cape Cod Magazine, and will feature dinner, live entertainment, and gift bags. 5 p.m.-11 p.m. For more information or a full schedule of upcoming events (such as shows, readings, lectures, outings, and concerts), visit www.castlehill.org. 10 Meetinghouse Road, Truro, 508-349-751.
