FROM STORY TO SCREEN with CASEY SHERMAN
An inside perspective on turning your story into a television series or major motion picture, presented by Casey Sherman, New York Times bestselling author and founder, Whydah Productions.
Cape Cod native Casey Sherman is the acclaimed author of The Finest Hours, which was turned into a major motion picture by Disney, and Boston Strong, which inspired the film Patriots Day. Sherman launched his new production company, Whydah Productions, in 2016 and currently has television development deals with CNN and Storyscape Entertainment in Hollywood. He is also the screenwriter and executive producer of the new film TURK: The Derek Sanderson Story, which is currently in development.
Over the weekend symposium participants will learn the following:
Writing a script? Sherman will show you how to build characters, structure your plot, and pay off with the story.
Selling the story? Sherman will teach you the art of the pitch and how to own the room.
Why not you? Sherman will share the inspirational story about his hard fought journey from Cape Cod to Hollywood.
Participants will be offered an opportunity to pitch their stories and receive feedback.
