KKatie’s Burger Bar Opens in Hyannis

KKatie’s Burger Bar, a family-run burger business with several locations across the South Shore, recently opened a new restaurant on Main Street in Hyannis. With juicy burgers that feature diverse toppings and garnishes as well as hearty sandwiches, KKatie’s Burgers is sure to satisfy. Tantalizing appetizers and unique sides, such as panko-crusted chicken fingers and stuffed quahogs, are available to complement whichever burger you choose. On top of the food offered at KKatie’s Burgers, the atmosphere is refreshing and cool with high-top tables and soft lighting. The new location, formerly Tommy Doyle’s Irish Pub & Restaurant, was under construction in preparation for opening when artwork was discovered underneath the existing walls. The murals, painted by Vernon Coleman, show Hyannis and other scenes from the villages of Barnstable during the 1930s. Four of the murals are restored and remain in the shop for customers’ viewing pleasure. —Bailey Soderberg
