Craft beer enthusiasts can “knock about” at the recently opened Naukabout Brewery + Taproom, located at the former Flume restaurant site in Mashpee. The comfortably rustic taphouse features a rotating selection of eight “hop-forward” beers, such as Quittin’ Time New England IPA (juicy, tropical, Douglas fir pine: delicious!); Stormborn Stout (dry, cacao nib, coffee: born using a generator during the last Nor’easter); Tides NE Double IPA (triple dry hopped, bright orange, smooth—part of an ongoing “Tides” series). While the brewery serves up the beer, local food trucks offer a varied selection of noshes. “Our goal is that every time you’re here, you can have something new on draft—and something new in your hand as far as food goes,” says Naukabout manager Peter Murner. Naukabout beer is currently available for takeout in 32-ounce cans. Toss a few growlers in the cooler on the way to the beach and enjoy a Naukabout!
