Bass River Burrito & Fish Co.’s friendly atmosphere, gluten-free options and a revamped interior sets this burrito place apart. Chef/owner Bill Walther opened the new eatery mid-February with a creative menu; new flooring, tables and chairs; and a more cheerful décor. Walther, who grew up in Orleans and has worked in the restaurant industry for 40 years, emphasizes fresh and healthy ingredients, specialty seafood burritos, trans fat-free fried food, and unusual items, such as bacon cheeseburger burritos. We loved the burrito with cranberry salsa, brown rice soubise, roasted corn salsa, guacamole and charbroiled chicken, as well as the gluten-free New England style clam chowder. You can create your own burrito or choose from daily specials, which are posted on
their Facebook page. Bass River Burrito also has a full liquor license.
