Quissett Harbor in Falmouth is known by most summer residents as the place one passes through on the way to The Knob, a rocky formation that overlooks Woods Hole and Buzzards Bay. The Knob is an ideal spot to catch amazing sunsets, making it popular among tourists, photographers and romantics. Yet most fail to see the beauty along the route to this destination, the stunning views of fading light reflecting off the boats and beaches of Quissett Harbor. It is a spot for true locals, an overlooked wonder and a destination in its own right. So while the crowds are running out to The Knob for a front row seat, I camp out at the harbor for the amazing light!
