Safe and Funky

By Catherine Malcynsky

The Cape has a new way to deter folks from driving drunk—driving funk. The Funk Bus company runs a fleet of multicolored, animal-print mini party buses that provide a safe ride to and from any destination on Cape and other hotspots in Massachusetts. Each bus is decked out with multicolored lighting and a high-tech sound system, promoting fun as well as safe transportation. These personal party-animal vehicles come in yellow tiger stripe, orange tiger stripe, pink cheetah print, yellow leopard print, and white or green zebra print. Sometimes the drivers are as colorful as the vehicles. Not limited to private events, the Funk Bus also serves as an established shuttle to and from Commercial Street in Provincetown and the Chatham Squire, or from White Crest Beach to the Wellfleet Beachcomber. There is even a beach chair rental service run through the company. Buses are available to rent at hourly, per-person or event-specific rates. The Funk Bus encourages last-minute bookings and offers buses suitable for 14, 20 or even 30 people. All reservations and questions are addressed electronically, which saves both the company and customers staffing costs. For more information, call 508-487-0111 or visit thefunkbus.com.
