The Royal Treatment at Pop + Dutch

Hungry for a unique experience, as well as a regally delicious bite to eat? Pop in to Pop + Dutch, where owners Sean Gardner and Rebecca Orchant offer everything needed for a royally grand day at the beach, from a creative array of homemade sandwiches to Cape Cod Potato Chips and bottled sodas. Located in the space that once housed the Provincetown General Store and named after Gardner’s grandparents (his grandmother nicknamed herself “Dutchess” and wore elbow-length white gloves), the Pop + Dutch vibe is friendly, funky and nostalgic. Start your day with a tasty made-to-order breakfast sandwich or an “Oh You Fancy, Huh” (smashed avocado, lemon, chili flake and sea salt on seven-grain toast). If you’re up and at ’em early, enjoy their legendary and oh-so-buttery buttermilk biscuits (served with sorghum molasses, housemade jam or spicy pimento cheese—they sell out fast!). And for lunch? “Everyone’s favorite is the Agent Dale Cooper: a turkey, avocado, cheddar situation,” says Orchant. “We make it special with our own pickled shallots.” Also not to be missed: the Danny DeVito (roasted mushrooms, zucchini, artichokes, provolone, hoagie relish, arugula and red onion on ciabatta) and the Gator McKlusky (green goddess chicken salad, tomato and arugula on brioche).
